“You will never get out of pot or pan anything fundamentally better than what went into it. Cooking is not alchemy! There is no magic in the pot!”
Me and my wife Sireesha are food lovers. We normally prefer to cook at home but don't mind to eat out at least once a week. It could be anything from a simple '7-Layered Burrito' at Taco Bell, Subway's '6-inch Veggie Sandwich' all the way to 'Huevos Rancheros' and Spicy Veggie Fajita at a Mexican Restaurant or the classy 'Lettuce Wraps, Kung-Pao Chicken(that's only for me) with Chinese fried rice and Sautéed Eggplant' at the P.F. Changs! We have our own taste and preferences, just like any other couple. To the very popular contrary belief that vegetarian food means eating Salads, we truly believe there is much more to the vegetarian food! We'll prove it.
I have read somewhere that cooking is a very good way of relaxation. I have found the statement to be very true when I actually experienced it. Cooking is a wonderful process. Everything right from the grocery shopping especially for vegetables and fruits, slicing/chopping/cutting them for preparation, assemble the right kind of masalas for the delicacy to be prepared, to the final cooking is very interesting and fun loving.
India is a very big country. It's diversity not only brings our attention to the different languages we Indians speak but also towards a vast variety of food we prepare within the country. We have different flavors of Rice, Vegetable curries, Dals (Lentils), Pickles and many more regional delicacies. It is quite famous that the taste of one particular delicacy changes witin every 50 miles everywhere in India. Be it vegetarian or non-vegetarian, Indian food has been enjoyed by everyone from the Ancient rulers of the country to the current generation of people. We feel pride to see the Indian food finally being globalized and appreciated by the westerners as they are now slowly getting out of the monotonous 'Cheezeburger and Fries' syndrome!
So, stay tuned for an expedition to 'The Vegetarian World'!
